Requisition Title: CAD Technician

Position Summary

EK Engineering Consultants is seeking a talented CAD Technician to prepare civil engineering drawings for site development, building, and roadway projects. This role requires close collaboration with the engineering team and the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting tools to develop accurate plans. The position also supports Engineering, Surveying, and Land Planning projects. Candidates with an engineering degree may have opportunities for career advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update CAD drawings for site layouts, grading, buildings, and roadway projects.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
• Work on assigned tasks under the guidance of a design engineer.
• Review and interpret engineering plans for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Manage a dynamic workflow, prioritizing tasks based on project demands.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and familiarity with other drafting software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of site development, building design, and basic engineering principles.
• Effective communication, organization, and teamwork
• Previous experience in civil engineering projects and architectural drafting is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of CAD drafting skills and terminology.
