Existing Retaining Wall Replacement and Erosion Control Plans

Project Type:  Existing Retaining Wall Replacement and Erosion Control Plans

Location: Norcross, Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States

PROJECT SUMMARY

This renovation project delivered a comprehensive site plan focused on grading and drainage improvements to support the replacement of an over 20-foot-high stacked retaining wall. Site regrading and the installation of a strategically placed catch basin ensured proper drainage and prevented water accumulation behind the wall, critical for long-term stability. Erosion control measures were designed in accordance with the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual, implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as perimeter silt fencing and stabilization of disturbed areas through temporary and permanent seeding. The project met all Gwinnett County regulatory requirements, resulting in a durable, long-lasting retaining wall supported by effective grading and proactive water management strategies.
